System Requirements

We want your installation to go as smoothly as possible. One of the most critical factors in making the installation a success is insuring that the proper software and hardware components are in place.

Networking Requirements

• Network Platforms -- Novell Netware 4.X OR Windows NT Server 4.X with Windows 95 Client OR Windows 95 Workstation

• Server -- Minimum of 128K RAM

• CD-ROM -- 12X or faster

• Back-up Drive

• Printers -- We recommend purchasing the Okidata 320, a Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4000 series or DeskJet 800 series or higher. We do not support bubble jet or office jet printers. We also recommend contacting us prior to the purchase of a non-HP printer to verify that the drivers are compatible with the MedLink software.

Workstation Requirements

• Pentium 200 mhz or faster, recommended

• Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0

• Configuration --

  • 32MB RAM minimum, 64 MB recommended

  • 56K Baud Modem (or faster), 3.5" FDD in 1.44MB

  • 4X or 12X or faster CD-ROM drive (our software is sent via CD)

  • 800 x 600 SVGA plus 2MB Video Card Color Monitor - 14" min.

  • Mouse, Microsoft compatible

Additional Requirements -- determined on a per client basis

• Recommended Remote Access Options for Branch Offices, centralized Databases:

1. PCAnywhere -- (Visit our Online Store to purchase)

• Required for Help Desk access or for stand-alone offices

• remote user dial into a local networked system

• only screens and keyboard/mouse activity are transmitted, faster than data

• reasonable performance

• requires a dedicated host machine for each person dialing

• Adds thin client capabilities to NT Terminal Server

• ICA Protocol optimized for performance over dial up lines

• Easily scalable to accommodate growth
